In this first expansion to Wingspan, we increase the scope of the world to include the regal, beautiful, and varied birds of Europe. These birds feature a variety of new abilities, including a number of birds with round end abilities, abilities that increase interaction between players, and birds that benefit from excess cards/food. Along with the new bonus cards, they’re designed to be shuffled into the original decks of cards (and cards from future expansions). The European Expansion also includes an additional tray for storing the growing collection of birds (past, present, and future), as well as 15 purple eggs, extra food tokens, and a colorful new score pad designed for both multiplayer and single-player scoring. Bought this as a gift for an avid bird lover who already had the base game. Got to play a few rounds with this expansion. The birds in this expansion add a new action compared to the birds in the original. There are additional eggs and other pieces that fit in to the original game box. Note: this does NOT include the base game- this is only an expansion for it.

This is a great game! Family members from adolescent to old folks enjoy it. Not difficult to learn and has a lot of depth in the strategies that one can employ. It is one of the few games that my wife actually enjoys (she is less competitive than us) and she is constantly asking to play again.
