Keeps closet door locked for kids; open for adults
This is great for our purpose. We needed a lock that was easy to open for adults, but impossible for the kids to get into the closet. This lock is perfect for our needs. Took one star off for the fact that the way the lock slides across the door to close and open will probably eventually scratch up the door. But we decided we'll paint the scratches on the door when the kids get older and we no longer need this lock. Also another caveat: we have a standard size folding closet door just purchased a couple months ago at a big-box home store, and my husband had to bend the metal on this lock a little to get the mechanism open enough to slide across the door freely.
