Being willing to recreate is key!

I started out with this product because my gaps were very wide. However, the door would not close. I think the product would not "smush" for the parts of the door where the gaps weren't as wide. So, I ended up using another MD product for starters - 3/8" wide (common) and 7/32" tall or thick. So, then we have gaps. Then, what I did was cut the top off of this product, leaving only the part that had the adhesive on the other side with a little edge on each side on top of the 7/32 strip. Now my door is as tight as a drum. I'm expecting my electrical and gas bills to dramatically decrease because it was like a wind blowing through. 1/8" gap around a door is comparable to a 6" square hole in the middle of the door.
