poly tool box

the tool box is construced well and is very strong. the latch keeps the door closed and water tight. use of the mounting brackets(sold seperatly) is kind of cumbersom. but all in all a well made product.

Got what we paid for

Good price, but got what we paid for. The door seal that supposed to keep out the "elements" doesn't and the "T-Handle" loosens itself everytime we open the door. When we mounted the toolbox on the brackets that were recommended for the box, the plastic box bent down around the braces and we didn't have but maybe 40 pounds of weight in the box. Had to add more metal and bolts to keep the box from deforming itself. I wish I'd spent the extra money and bought a metal box.

buyer tool box

the box is flimsy so we reinforced the box with steel across the bottom and both sides. In the last week the box door has opened three times going down the road because the lip at the top is too short and every time the box shakes going down the road the door opens. Luckily the door hasn't hit anyone walking down the road. Do not waste your money as we did on this product. On the upside it will not rust but since it really isn't safe to be used on a vehicle most metal boxes will probably outlast me too being kept in the garage. Buy a metal box and just replace it every 3 or 4 years it's not worth hurting somone walking down the road with this product when the door flys open.
