I have used other brands but the Shark was outstanding. It did a great job cleaning my carpets. The other brand was not cleaning as well as the shark and the suction on the machine was amazing in getting the carpet cleaned. Was easy to clean after using!

So if you're here you're probably weighing your options: “Should I splurge and get this” or “Should I take my chances and buy a cheaper option and hope for good results”. Well I've already done the work for you guys, so just do yourself a favor and save yourself your time and money, and buy this set. I've tried to go the cheaper route for the sake of saving a few bucks, and have used other brands that were 2 bucks cheaper, but offered more product than this one, and I gave up after it literally did nothing for my rugs. If you haven't already, I also suggest that if you have the money, consider investing in the Shark CarpetXpert (carpet%26upholstery cleaner). This stainstriker solution pairs with it which is why there are 2 separate bottles(The bigger one is for the carpet cleaning, and the tiny one is for the upholstery and stain cleaner). Between the Carpet cleaner and this solution, It really does clean so much better than any other solution I've ever used, and I've tried quite a few. No overwhelming fragrances, which is great for some, but it's a con in my eyes as I prefer fragranced cleaners that leave behind a beautiful scent. But I can live without it considering how great this stuff cleans. Finally, something that leaves my area rugs and carpets looking brand new again. 10/10 definitely recommend.
