Worked fine but my (old) monitor would not work

It arrived on time and it seemed to work - unfortunately, I was trying to use it to connect my old monitor to my new laptop - and I am not sure why, but the monitor would not work. But as I say, I do not think it was the adaptors problem. Probably an issue with my Monitor.
