Very simple to operate cooks perfectly

One single button to push! Nothing complicated about it. The rice cooks perfectly. When it's done cooking, it keeps it warm. I bought this one for my mom. She borrowed mine and loved it. I've had mine for a couple of years and it still works great. It works especially well for brown rice, which I usually have a hard time getting just right. I don't need to pre-soak it.

Great for someone who always used "boil in a bag".

I have only used the "boil in a bag" quick rice before but now that I'm on a low fat diet, I thought I would try making "real" rice. Man, I'll NEVER go back. I didn't know rice could taste so GOOD. Not to mention that this cooker is easier than boiling the water, putting in the rice package and then watching/timing it so it doesn't boil over. All you have to do is put rice and water in then turn it on--yes, that simple! The hardest part for me is learning that's there's a LOT of different kinds of rice out there. The guide that comes with the cooker helps a lot. Right now, my favorite type rice is sushi (this from someone who hates the actual raw fish part of sushi). Jasmine is really good too, a hearty, heavier taste than regular long grain rice. Anyway, I'm so glad I got this (and my doctor will be too)!

Fantastic!!!!

I was at first a little hesitant to purchase this unit. I am so happy I did buy it! This little rice cooker/steamer works great! What a value! The only drawback is taking the steamer basket out of the steamer. You have to be careful not to burn your hand from the steam. It would have been an asset to have a lifter or tab on the side to remove the basket out of the steamer. I use a fork or knife to lift the edge and grab it with a pot holder. Other than that this is a great product for the money.
