well i thought the same thing that it didn't power on upon arrival but it turns out that it won't power on if it is still plugged on to the charging system . i unplugged it and the scooter runs great looks stylish and its way to fast so be careful. tried to buy another one and they sold out the very next day. we love our new scooter .
