Losing a pet is hard for an adult, but it can be devastating for a child. This book puts pet death in the context of the "Rainbow Bridge" and takes away some of the pain by helping the child believe that at the end of their life, the pet will be waiting for them. There were places in this book that I just sobbed reading it to my granddaughter after the loss of our dog Moo. a really excellent book on a difficult topic.
