Works good for 3 minutes

I use the winch for pulling a 2800 pound boat and trailer into its storage space. The first one did not work right out of the box. Returned it to the local Walmart for an easy return and received a refund within two weeks. Ordered a second one which appears to be working. My big complaint is that the winch can only be used 3 minutes at a time with a 21 minute cool down period between pulls. Would like to have seen a cooling port added that a fan (shop vacuum) could be used to extend the continuous operation time or reduce the cooling down period.

Not my favorite but it has uses.

Use it as a boat lift, with pulleys. Last one I bought lasted about 7 years picking up around 1500 lbs. It was much cheaper back then! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
