Everything looks and feels very well-made and solid. Think of a portside dock crane that loads container ships. The crane has to be engineered to handle heavy loads with ease and without any susceptibility to toppling over. To my eyes and experience, such is the engineering thought that went into the design of this monitor stand... It distinguishes itself by its own weightiness to maintain stability and to withstand load bearing of up to 9 kilos. That's approximately 20 pounds of load. Compare that to the typical loads when mounting a monitor: that's about 5 pounds to 8 pounds for a 24-inch diagonal screen and maybe up to 9 or 10 pounds at the upper limit of a 32-inch diagonal screen. This thing is built like a tank... Superior design is further evident in the "MechaSpring (TM)" mechanism which holds the arm in position with great reliability. You can see the torque that you are applying to render the articulated arm immobilized. The range of angles for Tilt, Swivel, and Rotation are extremely generous ( 85 degrees to -25 degrees; plus or minus 90 degrees; plus or minus 90 degrees) respectively and permit just about whatever you might possibly need to configure for your setup... I work from home and find this device a Godsend for optimizing my workspace with minimal clutter... Excellent!... Exceeded expectations. Superb materials, fit, and finish. Highly recommend... .
