Purchased this unit as an alternative to the more standard brands. Overall I'm glad I did. It's a workhorse that hasn't failed over the 3 years I've had it. It's not as quiet as I'd like but what unit of this type is? It works best to grind when using the supplied drain stopper in the open position which I think provides more consistent water delivery during use. It still doesn't grind citrus rinds very well but it also isn't a restaurant grade unit. Overall very happy.
