For many years, I used a dark brown, heavy wooden dresser for my clothes. But I wanted to switch to something smaller and lighter. This 8-cube organizer is exactly what I needed. I already had some 11" fabric cube bins on hand, and they fit perfectly. As for assembly, it's always preferable to have two people for jobs like this, but I am a 62-year-old woman and was able to assemble this organizer completely by myself. The directions consisted of all pictures without accompanying text, so I took my time to decipher the pictures to make sure I did everything right. The only small issue is that the directions did not clarify that there's a right way and a wrong way to install the two long sides. Yes, you want to install them such that the raw, unfinished edge faces the same direction as the raw, unfinished edges of the shelves. But in addition to that -- and this is where I had a slight hiccup -- you need to install the long sides with the smaller screw holes facing the inside, so that the screw holes with the wider opening are on the outside where you are inserting the screws. This ensures that the heads of the screws will go in flush with the side of the furniture, instead of sticking out. I realized this after installing the first long side, and it was easy to remove and reinstall correctly. This organizer is sturdy and helps to make my bedroom look more open and airy. It would be useful for a variety of things, though. I highly recommend it!
