The G9240 features a beautifully-bound mahogany body with traditional-style F holes. The neck is carved from mahogany and carries a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard. The neck is carved into a very comfortable medium “V” profile, and it joins the body at the 12th fret. The heart of this richly resounding guitar is the Gretsch Ampli-Sonic resonator cone, hand-spun in Eastern Europe from nearly 99-percent pure aluminum for fantastic volume and sonic projection.
