This is a good sturdy edge that will take care of a large area without needing connectors. I didn't need stakes as I was using it to edge my front lawn so it was a straight run. This is sturdy edging of a nice width(5"). The black plastic edging doesn't come in 40' size so I was happy to go with this one. It looks very nice, too. I'd definitely buy this again! If you are planning to use it for a curved bed, you'll need to purchase stakes to shape this.

After keeping damage the pool screen everytime when i trim the grass around the edge of the pool deck foundation, I bought 2 of this to wrap around the bottom of my pool enclosure to protect the screen.
