Recommended Daily Feeding Guidelines for Adult Cats: 4-8 cat weight (lbs); 1/4 - 1/2 dry food (cups (based on standard 8 oz. cup)). 8-12 cat weight (lbs); 1/2 - 2/3 dry food (cups (based on standard 8 oz. cup)). 12-16 cat weight (lbs); 2/3 - 3/4 dry food (cups (based on standard 8 oz. cup)). Over 16 cat weight (lbs); 3/4 plus 1/4 cup per each additional 2 lbs. of body weight dry food (cups (based on standard 8 oz. cup)). Recommended Daily Feeding Guidelines for Kittens: 1-3 kitten weight (lbs); 1/4 - 3/8 dry food (cups (based on standard 8 oz. cup)). 4-6 kitten weight (lbs); 3/8 - 5/8 dry food (cups (based on standard 8 oz. cup)). 7-10 kitten weight (lbs); 3/4 - 1 dry food (cups (based on standard 8 oz. cup)). For pregnant and lactating females: Feed to keep mother and kittens in good condition, which may be up to 2 to 4 times the adult amount. Fresh water should be available at all times. Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, breed, and activity level.
