When taking apart a steering column, use the ABN Steering Wheel Lock Removal Tool with your specialty steering wheel remover tool and steering pivot pin remover. It depresses the steering column spring to remove the lock plate and retaining ring. This steering wheel plate tool has 9/16" x 18 and M14 x 1.55mm adapters for airbag-equipped tilt and non-tilt columns. Use proper technique and set up the lock plate removal tool squarely. Instead of a frustrating wrench, this steering wheel lock remover has a tightening wing nut that is used to compress about 1/8-inch (3mm). If additional space is needed, optionally bend the outer plates. Add this steering wheel compression tool to your engine rebuild tools steering wheel puller kit. Includes 1 steering wheel lock plate remover with 2 adapters.
