This item was sold by a good seller, but shipped by Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart decided to wrap it in a plastic bag thinking that would be enough to protect the package. The nice presentation box was all dinged up and damaged, but the knife was okay. Do better Wal-Mart. Stop hiring lazy people and use a box with protective materials. Now on to the product. I own the expensive real deal Japanese Chef knife. This is almost the exact same other than markings. For ten bucks I would totally buy this knife again. It is literally the same as the hundred dollar one with the exact same presentation box. Shape and cuts nice. Under a 10x loop the blade looks the same as my expensive one. I would be willing to bet that this was made in the same place as the expensive one. Buy this one! Great gift as long as Wally World ships it in an actual box preserving the nice box it comes in. As an Antique Dealer of 18 years with almost 100,000 packages shipped all over the World I would never ship anything in a plastic bag. I ship in boxes with full protective materials. This knife is very nice. The design is beautiful. It's quality made and very sharp. It came packaged well and arrived sooner than expected. I definitely recommend.
