Inconsistent sizing

My friend ordered this t shirt in XL. After trying hers on, I ordered the me size. Unfortunately, the XL I received is not as large as the one my friend received. Unfortunately, I have to pay return postage to send it back. If I reorder again, I dont know which XL I would receive. Very frustrating as we bought these t shirts to wear in a golf tournament. I am the only one who still does not have a t shirt that fits.
