Classic And Romantic At The Same Time

I remember seeing similar sets of these made of metal and marble in the homes of people of my grandparents' generation. These are resin and I jumped for them. Glad I did. They add sophistication and Romance to any décor.

The Roman Columns I bought are the right size and great looking for where I'll display them, but the picture you show online the figurines are white. I didn't receive white - I got gray. Guess I'll just paint them. Packaging was excellent and delivery was quick.

Overall, I am pleased with this product, as I always am with Design Toscano's wares. However, one complaint I have is that this model does not have the inscription that is on the remains of the original in Rome. Design Toscano is usually just a bit more attentive to detail. A case in point is their reproduction of the design on Augustus' armour in their replica of the Prima Porta. That sort of faithfulness is a bit lacking in this product. In the grande scheme though, it is a minor issue. Another complaint I have is that the paint was scratched/coming off on some parts of this model, but I was easily able to touch it up myself. Of course, this piece of room decor is designed to make an impression as part of the overall room motif. It is not something that a person would scrutinize intently, so these defects can be easily overlooked.
