Safety & Operation Guidelines

 Critical Safety Warnings:

Always read and understand all instructions before operation. Failure to follow warnings may result in serious injury.

Personal Safety & Preparation:

1. Never operate when tired, ill, upset, or under the influence of medication, alcohol, or drugs.
2. Always wear proper safety gear: non-slip gloves, close-fitting clothing, safety boots, and certified eye, hearing, and head protection.
3. Handle fuel with extreme care. Mix and pour fuel outdoors only. Wipe spills immediately. Move at least 10 feet away from the fueling spot before starting.
4. NO SMOKING or open flames anywhere near fuel.
5. Keep bystanders, children, and pets at a safe distance (at least 21 feet/6.5 meters) during operation and starting.
6. Ensure a clear work area, secure footing, and a planned escape path before cutting, especially when felling trees.

Safe Handling & Operation:

1. Always use both hands with a firm grip, thumbs and fingers wrapped around the handles.
2. Keep all body parts away from the moving chain at all times.
3. Start the engine only when the chain is clear of any objects.
4. Carry the saw with the engine off, the guide bar pointed to the rear, and the muffler away from your body.
5. Inspect before each use. Do not operate if damaged, improperly adjusted, or not fully assembled. Ensure the chain stops moving when the throttle trigger is released.
6. Service and repairs (except minor maintenance per manual) must be done by a qualified technician.

Cutting Precautions:

1. Always shut off the engine before setting the saw down.
2. Use extreme caution on small brush and saplings; slender material can catch the chain and whip toward you.
3. Be alert for "spring back" when cutting limbs under tension.
4.  Do not operate in high winds, poor weather, low visibility, or extreme temperatures. Inspect trees for loose or dead branches first.
5.  Keep handles clean, dry, and free from oil or fuel residue.

Environment & Advanced Warnings:

1. Operate only in well-ventilated outdoor areas. Engine exhaust contains deadly carbon monoxide gas. Never run indoors.
2. Do not operate in a tree (e.g., tree topping) unless you are specially trained.
3. GUARD AGAINST KICKBACK – a sudden upward/backward motion that can cause loss of control. It occurs if the tip of the guide bar contacts an object. Never cut with the guide bar nose.
4. Use the provided guide bar scabbard during storage and transport.
