Flores de Verano

On August 6th, 1945, a bomb exploded in Hiroshima that imposed a new order and a new way of viewing the world for those who survived it; Tamiki Hara was one of those people. In this firsthand account of the periods before, during, and after the tragedy, the author describes the confusion, destruction, and horror that he witnessed, as well as the best and worst of the human condition. Written accurately in a tone devoid of frills, Hara’s words take on an almost poetic beauty as they record history. This is the first time that this work, which was censored for years in Japan because of its subject matter, has been published in Spanish.

 El 6 de agosto de 1945, estalló una bomba en Hiroshima que impuso un nuevo orden y una nueva manera de contemplar el mundo para los que la sobrevivieron; Tamiki Hara fue una de esas personas. En este relato de primera mano sobre el periodo del antes, el durante y el después de la tragedia, el autor describe la confusión, la destrucción y el horror que presenció, al igual que lo mejor y lo peor de la naturaleza humana. Escritas fielmente con un tono sin adornos, las palabras de Hara asumen una hermosura casi poética mientras recuerdan la historia. Es la primera vez que se traduce al castellano esta obra, la cual fue censurada durante años en Japón por su contenido.
