Velcro is still holding strong after 5 months

I leased a car for the first time and Iʻm a dog mom who takes her "kids" just about everywhere. So, I wanted to protect the interior with door liners. There were so many choices...if youʻve been looking you know what I mean. I chose the Tineer Door Protector because it functions independently from the rear bench seat protector and did not require a strap to hold it in place. I felt like it would be cumbersome to have to disconnect the strap every time I open the door to let the dogs in or out. I also worried the strap and door panel could hinder the view of my blind spot while driving. So, I went with the Tineer Pet Door Guard Protector Mat and I do not regret my choice. My biggest concern was how the velcro strips that secure the protector to the door would hold up over time. I can confidently say that they are as strong now as they were when I installed them back in February. I have not had to remove the protectors from the doors very often maybe 2 times in the past 5 months. Iʻm sure wear-n-tear would be more significant if you needed to remove it more often to accommodate passengers but just replacing the velcro strips with new ones you could get from Walmart would be an easy solution. Also, some other reviews complained about the plastic flaps that slide into the window glass sleeve coming out when the car is in motion and how the wind scoops the plastic panels right out. In the beginning, this did happen, but only for the first panel on the driverʻs side door. I just kept pushing it back in and Iʻd say it has been about 3 to 4 months since that problem just stopped and the panels stay put now. Maybe adjusting the velcro strip to be as close to the ends of the panel positions help secure the panels in place??? Idk...itʻs not a problem anymore. If you are looking for a soft padded or quilted door protector this is NOT that. It is very simple...just a one layer panel with a waterproof coating and backing. I worried about how the "girls" paws would feel on a unpadded protector? Then I realized they are dogs, they donʻt care what it feels like on their paws as long as its not hurting them. They love getting up on the door protector and sticking their noses out the window on our rides. Hope this was helpful and that you find what youʻre looking for in pet door protectors...shop happy!
