The waterproof spray is formulated to repel water, dirt and stains. What I liked about it is that spills bead up on treated surfaces making clean up easier before stains have an opportunity to set in. However, it is very important to check the product label for application instructions to make sure of compatibility. I see it as a great product for households with toddlers, and school aged children.
