It was confusing going through all the seller information and measurements for this rack, there is conflicting information as of March of 2026. The seven inch diameter is perfect for fitting in the THREE QUART version of the Instant Pot but the fold up lifting arms are too long for that model, too long for the lid to close. For a 6 to 8 quart pressure cooker with an inner diameter of about 8 1/2 inches, the 7 inch round rack is too small, leaving gaps all around its outside edge that would not keep it centered and things you are steaming like quartered potatoes out of the water. Also more likely that what you are steaming will fall off the sides of the undersized rack as you lift it out. The lifting bails will not be too long for these larger cookers. Full disclosure - I really wanted a rack for my 3 quart cooker and I decided to gamble regarding which part of the product information was incorrect - it paid off as I now finally have the right rack for my 3 quart pot, after shortening or removing the lifting handles. While you CAN use this in 6 to 8 quart cookers and it MAY be big enough for you to lay a roast on it and still pull it out easily, there are other accessories available for these cookers that may fit more to your liking. I hope my review helps you to make a good choice. This will end up being a 5 star product for use in my 3 quart cooker but I have to give it 3 stars based on the product description.
