Antenna rod separate from base at 60mph.

This review is subject to revision if a replacement antenna that does not come apart under normal use is received as a replacement. The subject antenna was received on December 5, 2024 %26 installed a few days later. On January 4, 2025 while driving 60 mph across an interstate 57 bridge construction zone the rod separated from the base and flew off, striking my truck and who knows what else following me. It took a few seconds to realize what had happened and was at a location (on a bridge with no shoulder) impossible to stop in heavy traffic to look for the rod. I assume that the bonding of the antenna rod to the screw-in base was insufficient as only wind while driving caused it to come apart. The antenna base is still attached to my truck as it should be (see photo) but the antenna rod is gone, and the radio does not work without it. I understand that a defective product can occur but want and expect a non-defective replacement so I can resume the use of my radio.
