My cat loves this scratcher, something about the curve. I have bought more expensive ones and different fabrics but she just turns her nose up at those. She plays with this, scratches, and lays on it. If I do not have one she immediately will take to the sofa. Even though it is cardboard and she gets pieces of it all over the floor it is worth vacumning around it every few days. I hope they never discontinue this model, well worth the $$$.
