Canning prolongs the shelf life of otherwise perishable items for year-round enjoyment and eliminates preservatives and allows control over nutritional content for healthier eating. Whether using a pressure canner or the water bath canning method, HIC’s Jar Lifter with comfort-grip handles and smooth-action hinge offers secure and effortless control. The shaped tongs with a non-slip coating hug canning jars safely to fill them with hot foods, or lower them into the canning pot for blanching and sealing. It allows easier jar removal from the canning rack and safe transport to a cooling rack. Lifts all sizes of canning jars safely, from small glass jars and jelly jars to standard-sized and larger mason jars. It’s a great add-on to existing canning kits, too. Made from steel with a non-slip plastic grip, HIC’s Canning Jar Lifter is sturdy and durable, and easy to use and clean. Hand wash in warm, soapy water.
