ASUS - TUF Dash 15.6" FHD 144Hz Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB DDR5 Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - 512GB PCIe SSD - Off Black

I find the 144hz screen to be very dim, but this is not terribly problematic for me as I use the machine primarily as a desktop replacement and attached to a couple of good monitors. I am normally not a fan of vendor software but I am impressed with both MyASUS (especially driver/BIOS updates) and Armoury Crate for performance tweaking. It would nice if Armory Crate had a single checkbox for Ludicrous Mode that overclocked everything and adjusted the cooling accordingly, for those of us who don't have the time or interest to tweak/benchmark, rinse and repeat. I prefer ports/cables in the rear of the unit, but that is just nit picking because it allows me to hide them easier. Outstanding future proofing with a fast 12th Gen I7, DDR5, PCIE4, WIFI6, BT5.2, and Thunderbolt 4. The 3070 is a solid GPU, and GSync over USB 3.2/DP is exactly what I needed and a smart move for port flexibility instead of dedicating a DP port. Silent operation during normal business work and temps are well within range when pushing the hardware, especially when paired with an excellent laptop cooler. Access to internals was simple, when I upgraded to 32GB and a 4th Gen NVME in a larger size. This laptop has been on my radar, but list pricing was at MSRP and I just could not pull the trigger. BigBox retailer had an outrageous sale. That shifted the sweet spot of the price/performance curve in my favor and I could not order it fast enough. Well done by both ASUS and BigBox!

Purchased the laptop to use for work; review AutoCAD drawings, 3D models, as well as some light gaming on the side. I have had the computer for a few weeks and so far it's been great! I look forward to putting the computer to the test with some high-end 3D graphics rendering, but unfortunately that's not a normal function for me. Keyboard: Looked congested at first glance, but I find the keys are all spaced just close enough together to make typing easy without hitting multiple keys at the send time. Feel: the keyboard, touch pad, and inside of the laptop are all smooth to the touch and make it easy for the hand to glide over. The screen is easy to look at for extended periods of time. The case seems durable. Under normal use (not gaming) the laptops battery last about 2-1/2 hours and runs quietly. When gaming, the laptop should be plugged in and the fans become more noticeable, but not obnoxious. Asus includes a single button to switch operational modes to go from low-end everyday operation to high-functioning processing, which I like a lot( easy to use). The i7 processor and Rtx-3070 are outstanding system components for any computer and ASUS does a great job pulling out the potential of the components. I am very satisfied with this laptop for the flexible uses I required and recommend it as a serious competitor for anyone looking at a ready to go gaming laptop.
