Pump was Used and glued back together

When I pulled the pump out of the packaging I noticed that the power cord insulation was broken where it went into the back of the motor. Since I was on a time crunch I went ahead and repaired this defect so that I could get my aquarium running again and wouldn't have to wait several more days to get a new pump. During the install I attempted to remove the impeller housing but it wouldn't turn to come off again being in a rush to keep my fish alive I installed in the sump anyway and after I turned it on it lost water pressure so I pulled the pump out to find that the impeller housing had been broken and glued back together. I ended up returning it after all. So disappointing 😭
