perfect solution
This is the perfect solution for mounting Ford wire wheels (pre 36) onto (hydraulic brake ) drums that were made for solid steel wheels (post 40). The early drums had a step, that matched the wheels, the later ones were flat. Now you won't crack your wheels.

Great Piece to Keep your Wheels Healthy!
I had heard about wire wheel support for years and in the back of my mind always wondered how they worked. It wasn't until my latest build when I decided I needed a set! I am building a little '29 Ford Roadster with '34 wire wheels mounted to a set of Speedway steel drums in the front and stock '41 ford drums in the rear. I had heard the horror stories about folks who don't run these. What happens is cracks develop on the hub around the lug nuts. This simple part is designed to take up the space behind the wheel where the original hub had a raised portion to support the wheel. I purchase a set and have not had a lick of trouble with my antique wheels! Thanks Speedway for keeping the old-school parts on hand!!

A MUST for V8 Ford wire wheels.
These allowed me to safely and Correctly install 35 Ford 16 inch wire wheels on my T bucket build. Speedway has the right stuff, no matter what. Used their rods, crank and roller rockers in my 82 Firebird and ran 204.5 at Texas Mile. I'll be back for more.
