It's a plastic-y material, but clear, and the base is brass, giving a vintage vibe. Love that all I have to do is tap, and it changes the light setting. This is perfect for any small space or even a book shelf for some layered lighting. Sorry, not the best pictures, but I'm leaving it to charge, per the instruction manual.
