Jade Collection 60 Inch Jade Fan NI

I must say that I was a wee bit worried that this style of fan was going to be too contemporary for our house but I was wrong. We own a late-70s contemporary ranch and it looks absolutely amazing in my dining room! As a matter of fact, I'm about to redo the rest of our more traditional dining room to coordinate with it even better. The old wallpaper is going, we'll be putting new paint on the walls and ceiling and some new simple white drapes with dramatic oil-rubbed bronze curtain rods to match the fan. I'm really excited about this transformation and how good it will look. And it all started with this super stylish Kichler 60 inch Jade Fan. Now about this fan, it is the first ceiling fan that I have owned that I am completely satisfied with. It has all of the standard features, 3 fan speeds, you can reverse the fan flow for winter and summer and a light control. It's the first one I've had in my home that I don't have to go pull a pair of tongs out of the kitchen drawer to use just to be able to reach the on and off pull chains for the lights and the fan speeds. I can just push a button on the wall control now, yayyy me! It's so easy to change anything I want to change like the speed or the light control. It is whisper quiet, no clanking, no vibrating and no noise whatsoever, no matter what speed it is running on. It's the first ceiling fan we've had that we can run on high speed and it doesn't rattle at all which is important when you live in the South and run your ceiling fans year round. I like that the light fixture on the fan illuminates everything very well directly below it which puts the focus of the light where I need it - on my dining room table for eating dinner or playing cards with our friends. I was a little concerned (before installation) that the light fixture wouldn't be bright enough but it really is plenty of light for what we will be using it for. I will say that if you are looking for a fan with a light fixture that will also illuminate your ceiling you might want to choose another fan with a different light fixture. This one is more of a downlight which is what I was wanting. As for installation, it did take between 2-3 hours or so to disassemble and remove the old ceiling fan, assemble this one and get it wired up properly. My brother-in-law, the contractor, put it up for us and he didn't seem to have any real problems that he came across with installation but he was being very careful about reading the directions that came with it so as not to miss anything. Be prepared that your wall switch is not hard-wired in, which he found unusual but relieved when he realized that it was one less chore that he had to do installing it. We do plan on ordering a supply of the batteries that power the wall switch so we don't have to ever worry about not being able to operate the fan because of a dead battery. To me, this Kichler 60 inch Jade Fan makes a statement. People notice this fan right away when they come into my home and I've had nothing but positive comments on how great it looks.
