Simple, functional, high-quality
Was about to buy a different, much more complicated (and expensive) vent-mounted phone holder, but happened to see this one. Glad I did! It’s very functional and feels solid and well-made. Grippers that slide onto the vent fins are made of a firm rubber/silicone-like compound. You have to push fairly hard to get it to slide on, but not so hard that it felt like I was going to damage the vent. Once on, it’s clear it will stay on, even with the heaviest phone (this is in a 2016 Honda CR-V, using an iPhone 7+ in the standard Apple silicone case).As others have mentioned, I do wonder if over time the “arm” that expands outwards under spring tension will loosen and not hold onto my phone as well, but as a starting point, the tension feels strong, so it would have a long ways to go before it didn’t grip the phone tightly.Great product at a super fair price. Can’t go wrong.
Fabulous item
IF…your best option for cellphone mount is your vent, than this is your unit. It has tight rubber (very well designed) that grab the vent like no other. Because the rubber is flexible, if will grab any size vent slat securely. Only one side spring loads and it is reversible so either side can be used to slide open (matters is the vent is recessed or inhibited in any way). By far the best vent grab I’ve ever seen.
It works!
I purchased this kind of cell phone holder because I didn’t want to stick any sticker or magnet on the back of my new lavender cell phone like I did with my previous one. I also didn’t want to have to take my phone case out every time I snapped it on to my holder.This handy gadget easily grips the car vent and holds my Galaxy S21 with my phone case securely minus any stickers or magnets. I love that I can rotate it to whichever angle or degree I desire. Whether I rotate it 180, 90, 45 etc… it stays in place. I highly recommend it!
