Great for setting up house

These are lovely baking dishes. The larger one would be perfect for making a lasagna, casserole, or cake. I was at first confused by the metric measurements - but the larger baking dish on the inside is about 8 1/2 by 11 (it is, of course, smaller on the bottom than at the top edge since it tapers, hence the approximate measurement). I would make a cake mix that was meant for a 9 x 13 cake, and just give it a few minutes extra to bake for the extra depth. It is quite a deep pan, so would be good for lasagna. The smaller dish is about right for a sandwich or enough stew for lunch for one. They're made out of borosilicate glass, which as you may know is less likely to crack in the oven than other types of oven safe glass. The lids snap on securely, and have a leak-safe gasket. The lids are flat, so that other things can be stacked on top, which will make it easier to store them, or to transport them with other things to a potluck. Very nice baking dishes : )

Absolutely practical -- great food storage!

I appreciate the quality of these beautiful glass storage containers! The small container is perfect for on the go use! The large container has ample space for refrigerated storage of large meals but versatile enough to store pantry items for quick access in pantry/cupboard. The glass is very sturdy and doesn't crack easily ensuring safety through dishwasher cleaning. The flip lid on the containers does a really good job at keeping a good seal to maintain the food at its prime!

Yes, a whole chicken will actually fit.

So many glass food storage containers show how big they are by photo shopping a whole chicken in the dish. This one will actually fit a chicken, and potatoes, onions and carrots. You could probably cook a small turkey in it as well. It's big, it's deep. This would also make a great lasagna pan. I poured water in it, added the lid and found it completely leak proof, so this would also travel well to potlucks or holiday dinners with family. The rubber seal is removable for cleaning. Included with this large container is a smaller, single serving size container, which is also leak proof.
