Sometimes you don't need a special occasion to dress up or wear some nice fashionable shoes. These dress shoes from Madden NYC are perfect for me because they're dressy enough to look special but still casual enough to look good in a social setting and not overdressed. They're not as low as most formal dress shoes but not a high-top or boot either.
There's just enough padding in the sole that sitting in the office or standing for a while at a wedding should be comfortable enough to not look for places to get off your feet. They're markedly better than the wood or leather soled dress shoes, these are so far comfortable to be standing around awkward cocktail parties without my feet instantly hurting. The bottom and sole material feels like rubber or foam so it should keep you comfortable while looking good. The black leather should match up with other black leather accessories like a belt and watch and go well with black or even lighter colored pants however there is a bit of a white accent on these that may stand out. I cannot imagine someone pointing out the sole material on my shoes in a dressy or casual meeting however.
The fit on these just feels better than most other dress shoes I've worn before. I have a really wide foot and got half a size up and overall they're comfortable on my feet with normal cotton and thinner dress socks. These are comfortable, look good, and feel well built. Overall I really like these and will wear them more often than my other dressy clothes!
