It's oil, a great oil

Very Slick experience! I contacted the folks at Royal Purple and asked about the shelf life of the product if kept in it's original container. They said the shelf life was forever so long as you didn't open the container. Imagine my relief! Yes I know some stuff has a shelf life open or not. They did recommend putting a piece of plastic from a sandwich wrap bag or like wrapping to act as a seal/gasket when putting the cap back on. this would take care of any shelf life concerns in my case.... So I bought the 10W 30 and the 5W 30 in the 5 gallon jugs to change my oil for the next 30 or 40 k miles and paid about half the cost of buying it by the quart. I also don't have to go to the store for oil changes any more. Yeah, I'm buying a case of filters for each of my vehicles.

HHS has zinc in it.

HPS is one of the few oils containing zinc. Zinc is an important lubricant required in older engines as zinc was removed from all oils a while ago. You will only find zinc in some diesel oils which some use in autos. Plus Royal Purple has their proprietary synthetic addictive where all the other oils use the same synthetic addictive in various amounts. I'm using HPS in my newer vehicles too for added zinc protection as well as my classic muscle car. Best oil you can buy imho. Great price delivered too. Can't buy this stuff in any store.
