The White Mountain Hearth Sassafras Refractory Log Set is an artfully crafted log set that will provide a realistic look to the fire and complement the burner pattern to create a lifelike fire, flickering flames and warmth. Unlike a wood fire the vent-free logs generate consistent, controlled heat without flare-ups or die-downs. The Sassafras, like all Empire log sets, are hand painted. The vent free Slope Glaze Burner sits low in the firebox in the front and rises slightly to the rear for an more realistic log stack. It is a manual control burner with a 3 position knob. A Vent-Free Burner may be installed in a vented fireplace for use as a decorative appliance. A decorative appliance operates with an on/off switch or remote, and may not operate with a thermostat.
