This skirt is so well-made. It has a silk-like liner underneath the luxurious, thick outer fabric. I am pleased with the pockets, as they do function, but they are not the deepest. I didn't notice anything falling out of my pockets when I sat down, but I do not recommend keeping your phone in your pocket, as mine kept trying to fall out. It is great for fall and colder days. It has both a zipper on the side and an elastic band in the back for a very snug fit at the waist. If you want to wear it at the hip, go at least one (maybe even two) size(s) higher. The length is just below mid-shin on me, and I am 5'8" and 210. I
