POOR QUALITY and damaged out of the box.
Short version: Really thin metal. I expect it may not make it a season. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is, the price. (Sunjoy $750) Long version: I have owned 2 nearly identical tower fireplaces by Sunjoy. They rusted out after just a couple of years ( with covers ). I was looking for a more durable solution when I came across this one. Doing comparisons between the 2, I thought they were actually identical. I decided that for this price, I would get a better cover and see if it would hold up. Well, guess not. For starters, this thing was dented up pretty bad and has a rust spot on it out of the box. (I don't rate things poorly for shipping issues) The main issue, is metal thickness. This is really flimsy. Not identical! Way lighter than the Sunjoy, which I was already unhappy with quality. For me, no way I'm buying this again. I'm looking for better quality, not worse. I would take it back to Walmart, but I have destroyed the boxes and it can not be returned without the box. I'm stuck with it and fully expect to be replacing it this year. I'm actually scared to use it. I'm afraid the fire will fall through the tray! Interesting that it does come with an insert grill for BBQing, which I do not plan to use it for. Save that an put the money into the overall quality of the fireplace!
