In my town stray dogs are not uncommon. There is a Facebook page dedicated to their citing. I used to be able to pull my dog up by the leash but the other day a large dog ran toward us. Luckily to okay but Petunia fell out of the leash. But since my dog had gotten fat. I guess from carb heavy treats it's hard to find a harness that fits well. Her neck measurement is 13 and her chest is 18. She weighs 13 pounds. This harness is beautiful and it is secure. But the xs is not really small enough. Because of her weight proportion she still has a little dog neck but a bigger dog's chest. So with all harnesses this is a problem. So this is the same. Even with it adjusted to the max it is to bug for the neck but fits perfectly on the chest. But the harness is beautiful. And the d ring is in the back. It's unique but I think it works because the way the harness is shaped. I'm hoping it would be ok to lift her. You know I mean if a dog is coming or anything I can pull the leash and bring her to me. Although the neck is to big the chest is good and since the d ring is in the back of I have to pull her it should lean her body forward and this way the chest part will actually be the front. But I would say this harness runs big. Because I got the x small which is usually for toys or puppies. But I think the measurements said for a bigger neck but I had to get it for the chest. When I use very tight chest harnesses I can see it constricting her and she doesn't want to walk far. But it is a beautiful, unique and well made harness.
