It is made from a unique thermoplastic that allows it to be remolded up to 20 times if you do not get the exact fit you want during the first fitting. The LunaGuard is only 1.6 mm thick. Lunaguard is the brand of dental guard my dental clinic recommended for teeth grinding/clenching. I was a bit nervous about having to fit the guard myself, however it is a very simple task and if you have any issues with the resulting form, you can repeat the process until it fits just right. There is no discomfort wearing the guard and it does not interfere with your speech. It is recommended you replace your mouth guard after about 6 months of use. I have been using this brand for 2 years and have not experienced any problems
