Although it is dishwasher safe, by hand washing you will greatly extend the life and performance of your pan and cleaning is effortless. Pan is oven safe. Be sure to read the care pamphlet for degree of oven suggestion for this hard anodized pan to insure safe usage in the oven.

Nicely weighted better quality feeling pot

Just like everyone else, I love this pot. It is weighted nicely so everything does not burn, and it feels like a quality pot. I do tend to forget pots are on, so this one I will be careful with. It may just be the weight that makes it feel nicer but the handle is nice too. I never spend this much on pots but am happy I got this one.

Well made high quality sauce pan

It's a little bit pricey for a sauce pan, but the old adage -- you get what you pay for -- is true. This is a high quality item. I tried a $20 one from Amazon, and it didn't cut the mustard. It was scratched up in less than a year. When the manufacturer's description actually says that the non-stick application will last much longer than most non-stick pans, that's a good sign. Even though it is described as light, it definitely looks and feels like heavy duty aluminum to me. And all of the chrome and shine in addition to the design makes it look like it should be in a designer kitchen which I don't have, but every little bit helps.
