Conversations with My Mother, (Paperback)

Tomorrow ain't promised to us son," "I want my flowers now," and "I'm ready to go home to see my Jesus," were phrases my mother said all the time but especially when she wanted me to help her write her life story from 1931 to present day. The "guilt" worked because mom like many African Americans, has high blood pressure and heart problems. I knew that her story had to be told first. When God moved on my heart to make her story a "conversation" it became an overwhelming blessing for both of us.

I'm forever grateful to her for living through insurmountable odds so that I can enjoy a richer life. I can't imagine what it was like to be a woman and black in the south, in the1930's. I just can't wrap my mind around that. Mom is "I Am Woman and Superwoman." But she never once complained or played the victim. Mom stood on her powerful faith in Christ and she's still standing today at 79 years young.

We all need to have a serious heart to heart talk with our mothers to understand their tumultuous journeys and the sacrifices made. But also they need to hear from us about "issues" we've buried in our childhood. Most importantly, we learn about our rich history and how we stand on the backs of our mothers and all those who came before them in our families.

Don't wait another minute! Grab a tape recorder, pray with your mother first for clarity and understanding and then let it all out in Jesus Name. Now you have her story in her voice so that after she's made the transition to the Company of the Angels you can still hear her angelic voice and REJOICE!

I'm so excited to meet all of my fans that are really my friends, and I'm extremely excited about my book "FROM RAJ TO MR.
