My eight-year-old daughter normally takes a size 10/12. The sweater runs a little bit big and the sleeves go a little past her fingertips, but I could cuff them for her and I think the sweater would be OK. the sweater is also a bit baggy at the bottom where it meets her waist, but I think I would keep it because she could wear it again next year. She loves the pretty heart shaped sparkly buttons on the front and that the sweater is thin yet really soft and comfortable to wear.

I ditched my boring black cardigan for this fun comfortable easy to wear fashionable choice. Immediately loved it and it's far more fashionable than it looks online. Adorable heart shaped buttons and they include an extra one which I might pair as a necklace pendant. Drop shoulder adds a lot and the heart design is whole through the back of the sleeves. I lightly tucked it in but you could easily leave it out for a different look with wide leg pants. Great buy great value don't think twice get it while it's still available. And totally not just for valentines or something very wearable all the time, nice change from boring plain cardigans! Size wise I got a L for that oversized look while my normal size would have been M. Your call how you want it to fall but my recommendation is to get one size up for the look. For reference I am 5'7” and average weight.
