I'm leaving this review only a week after receiving this tumbler. It's the first time I bought from this company I have two Old Chicago electric tumblers for 3 to 4 years with no issues. Although they're belt driven and they have to be tinkered with that times. This new rock tumbler here seems to be a nice design I'm going to give the pros and cons if I can I'll edit months from now to tell you. The framework of the machine is excellent. It's digital with lighting you could program it and so on that's also excellent. It comes with an adapter plug which is more modern than just the thick cord from the Chicago electric tumbler. The roller systems are really nice and unique. They are individual rollers instead of two long bars like most Rock tumblers. It doesn't seem to be belt driven the directions don't really show any pictures or anything. But judging on the roller system it looks like the roller system is made up of the motor under each roller system for each individual barrel. There doesn't seem to be any belt. My guess is just a motor with the rod through it that spins the system that turns the barrels it's short and small. The only issue that I can see so far is that there is no holes or air flow it's a housed system. Which is very strange so the roller which is part of the house system gets very warm on one of them and hot on the other. There is no Gap or designed air flow under around through anywhere very strange. So I've been limiting mine to a few hours at a time and then shutting it off. I'm going to call the company but in the meantime I bought some small high design fan with ice cooling design that I'm going to try to blow air through it. The framework has holes so you think that would have air that can come through it that's where I'm going to put the fan to keep everything cool. I don't know how well that will do. It looks like an incredibly awesome design and well built. But to have a closed housed system with no airflow doesn't make any sense. I can't drill because I don't know what's underneath there and I don't want to drill into the motor. The barrels are well designed my old barrels from Chicago electric can actually fit into these barrels. They're easier to open and close as well. They're 4 lb barrels each so 8 lb total that's two extra pounds compared to my Chicago electric. And the overheating isn't because the barrels are over loading. Matter of fact they're probably about 3 lb right now instead of 4 lb each. I shouldn't say overheating it's obviously not overheating cuz it wouldn't work but it shouldn't get that hot either. The system without a belt will be excellent and again I don't think it has a belt I think it's just a rod. But between not being able to get air there or work on it if I ever need it to it's strange the way it's built. I don't see any screws or anything to take anything apart. If this had air flow access and didn't heat up like this I would buy another one instantly. But I'll have to wait for now.
