Great Pants awkward Belly Band

I like the fit of the pants themselves but the non stretchy cotton band that goes over the belly and not stretchy shoes string that you tie it all up with is ill fitting and ends up being really uncomfortable throughout the day. I end up rolling the band down a couple hours into my day. But the jeans are well made and hold their shape pretty much the whole day.
