Finally We Can Be Connected

The Gabb Phone 3 Pro was the answer I was looking for! I hated that my kid needed a phone because I didn't want his brain to change or for him to grow up too fast. The Gabb Phone gives us communication but no access to Internet browsers or social media. It's great! Phones can be a good thing for our kids, but mostly bad! Gabb has taken all the bad out and finally there's phones FOR OUR KIDS. I'd say get your kid this phone if you know they are ready for some safe tech use. It's great for older kids and teens. If you have a younger kid that you're unsure is ready for the responsibility of a phone, look into Gabb's watches. This phone has been a game changer for me and my son!

A safe phone for teens

We got this phone for our high school boys (14 and 16) so that they can communicate with their friends, without the risk of social media or inappropriate websites. The Gabb phone is super efficient at flagging concerning texts or images, whether sent or received, for my review. Gabb's detection also works at flagging certain slang words and terms to detect cyberbullying, profanity, or inappropriate items. It is a little trigger happy but I'd rather receive more notifications than no notifications to keep our teens SAFE. The Gabb phone has allowed me to monitor our son's friends to ensure that they're not mixing with the wrong crowd since we can decide whether to approve or block their contacts. This phone is great for older teens (Gabb recommends it for 14-18 year olds) since it also allows a list of approved third party apps. Our sons are able to access important school apps like Canvas, church and sport apps to connect with their teammates and friends. Though we don't recommend apps such as GroupMe or YouTube Kids since the ability to monitor their use of these apps is severely limited. As such, the Gabb phone is not meant to work as a standalone but rather in conjunction with other electronics such as their smartwatches and laptops/chromebooks. Our sons can still communicate in their class or sports team's GroupMe chats via the web version on their laptops. Of course, this must also be controlled to prevent improper use — we use Bark parental controls to monitor their web browsing activity, emails, posts, and group chats to make up for what the Gabb phone cannot do. However, the Gabb phone is all you can ask for in a phone. It does the basic features such as calling, messaging, and school related tasks—there isn't a need for our kids to be browsing the web or watching videos on their phone so there is no risk of your kids being addicted to social media or to stumble on inappropriate content. So this is the ONLY phone that a high schooler should ever own for responsible parents who want to keep our teens safe from inappropriate content, phone addiction, cyberbullying, politics, and depression. Its content filters are a must in today's world and allows parents to intervene when there is inappropriate behavior by their kids or others. The Gabb phone has been so helpful in identifying potential issues so that corrective action can be taken. Monitoring our teens use of their devices gives our family peace of mind that they are safe and not doing things that they should not be doing. A must have for every high schooler this back to school season!
