Excellent firmness for your back

Really solid mattress, especially if you like a firmer feel Setup was easy. Like most hybrid mattresses, it arrives compressed in a box. It's heavy (over 100 pounds for the king), so having two people helps to move and unroll it onto the bed frame. Once opened, it starts plumping up pretty quickly and reached its full height of about 14 inches within a few hours. This mattress has a Euro top with gel memory foam and pocket coils underneath, so you get a nice combination of cradling cushion and support. I would describe it as extra firm, but not hard like a board. It still has a little give from the foam layers, which helps with pressure points. The pocket spring system helps reduce motion transfer, so if someone moves or gets up during the night it isn't very noticeable. I also like that the cooling gel foam doesn't seem to trap heat the way some foam mattresses do. I have sciatica, so it is good for that and would probably be good for someone with scoliosis. A few other things I noticed are the edge support and overall stability. The mattress feels sturdy and well made, not flimsy, and the full surface of the bed feels usable. At 14 inches thick it also looks substantial on the bed and works well on a platform frame without needing a box spring. Overall this feels like a really good value for a hybrid mattress. It's supportive, comfortable, and seems like it should hold up well over time.
