Product details
This convenient, portable digital Talking Time and Temperature Clock features a jumbo LCD display with 2-inch hour digits, 1-inch minute digits, and 0.5-inch temperature digits. When pressing the easy tap TALKING/SNOOZE button, the time and temperature are announced on-demand in a loud, clear female voice. For time and temperature announcements and display, choose from 12-hour or 24-hour time and from Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees. You can also set the alarm and choose from several built-in musical chimes and SNOOZE when needed. In addition, an hourly time and temperature announcement can be set to be spoken aloud either every hour, from the hours of 7 am-9 pm only, or turned off completely. Clock color is Ivory with Black trim. TALKING/SNOOZE button is Black with White lettering. Uses 2 AA batteries (not included).

Basic, affordable clock.
For the price, I would give it a 5-star rating because it's a great basic clock. I was disappointed when I received it because one of the batteries had exploded and the acid corroded the connection, but I scraped it off with a knife, replaced the batteries (2) and it worked! The alarm settings are a little confusing as the instructions were a little confusing. The backlight does not work on mine. All of this aside, it is a very basic clock, but it is for my 89 year old mother who is almost completely blind. She thinks the clock is golden because she easily can find the large button the covers the entire top of the clock, easily press it and the clock talks!! She is very happy- and now self sufficient for knowing the time; so for that- the clock is perfect. The talking feature is the only reason for the purchase and it serves the purpose perfectly.

Purchased for an elderly blind lady. She particularly appreciates that it announces both the time and temperature. It's battery powered, very light and equipped with buttons that are easy for the blind to operate. I would be a perfect product for the blind if it included a feature to audibly announce the time and temperature every hour. This gives the blind a sense of the flow of time. I would gladly buy another of this product if it included that feature.
